ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Economics started under graduate courses in 1984-85 along with establishment of the college. The department has the Post-Graduate programme since 2008. The vision of the department consists to achieve the competitive power for the success in global economy and imparting theoretical and applied knowledge of economics. The department thrives to reach standards of excellence in teaching, learning, research and consultancy.

The department has one fulltime qualified faculty member. and two are working on clock hour basis. The department is carrying various extension activities. Over the last fifty years, the Department has contributed a great deal to the society through its teaching and research.
