About the Department of Physics
The Department of Physics, Samajshree Prashantdada Hiray Arts Science and Commerce College, Nampur Tal. Baglan was established in June 1988. The Department offers Physics at the First Year and Second Year of B.Sc. Program.
Dr. A. S. Garde is working as Head of the Department of Physics. This is one of the oldest departments of the college with a high reputation for academic excellence with a strong & dedicated faculty. The department conducts an undergraduate program of B.Sc.
The Department of Physics is providing and enhancing the quality of education. The faculties in the department are well qualified and have good experimental skills. Dr. A. S. Garde is a Research Supervisor and guides six registered students on the Ph. D Course. Two students have been awarded his Ph. D Degree in the Physics under the Guidance of Dr. A. S. Garde.
Dr. Imran Shaikh has completed his Ph. D. Other faculty members Mr. Shoaib Malik, Miss. Shah Quaneta and Mr. Md. Abdul Haque are SET qualified and also pursuing their Ph. D. The department is helping the students to develop their interest in the subject matter practically & theoretically by making all the resources available to resources.
The department organizes various events such Field visit, Poster presentation competition, short term courses such as Basic computer education and Household Electrification, guest lectures from eminent faculties on various topics and subjects for all students studying at Under Graduate level.
The department has done a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with J. K. Technical institute. Mahesh Nagar. Near Fire Station, Malegaon 423203.
