About the Department
Department of Geography is established in June 1984. The courses are taught at UG level. There is only one faculty member in the department. The Department of Geography is only one man Dept. Geography taught at general level so one teacher is full-time and presently Prof. S. R. Pagar is working as Head Department of Geography and doing his Ph.D in the subject entitled as ‘Population Growth and Its Characteristics in Nashik District of Maharashtra: A Geographical Analysis’ in MSG College, Research Center, Malegaon from 09 th Apr.2022..He has published several papers in peer –reviewed journal and presented papers in the National /International seminars also.
In addition to this, he worked as a Co-ordinator of Environment Awareness Programme and arranged extra classes of FY/SY/BA/B.Com & BSc every year. The Dept. of Geography conducted two ‘Certificate courses on Fundamentals of Remote Sensing and Cartography’ for the students of SY/TYBA in the Academic Year 2021-22.
